What We Collect
Science Games Lab is designed so anyone can play without an account. Depending on how you use the site we may process:
- Account information. If you register to customize games for an event, Firebase Authentication stores your email address and a hashed password.
- Leaderboard names and scores. Display names you type before playing and the scores you achieve are stored in Cloud Firestore so leaderboards work during events.
- Analytics data. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics records anonymized usage data such as pages visited, session length and approximate region.
- Local preferences. Your browser stores your cookie consent choice and minor game settings in localStorage. This never leaves your device.
Cookies We Use
Analytics cookies load only after you click Accept on the consent banner. Declining keeps the site fully playable with zero tracking.
